NSITE offers the United States’ first Cisco Networking Academy - Cybersecurity training adapted to the learning styles of people who are blind or low-vision. The NSITE Cybersecurity program provides foundational knowledge of a broad range of IT Cybersecurity fundamentals, includes self-paced and virtual instructor-led training as well as labs, assignments, and exams. Participants obtain the skills required to add cybersecurity to their IT portfolios.

Earning Criteria

Complete 2-week Introduction to Cybersecurity online modules in Cisco NetAcad followed by 8-week Cybersecurity Essentials coursework in NetAcad in addition to virtual instructor-led sessions held during two 3-hour sessions each week. In addition, students study and complete lab assignments on their own time.
Completed 10-week online and virtual instructor-led training, passed eight chapter quizzes and one Final Exam, indicating successful completion of course and lab work and achievement of learning outcomes. Assessment consists of class attendance, online written tests, and submission of successfully completed lab assignments.
