Leadership Broken Arrow, a program of the Broken Arrow Chamber of Commerce, provides participants with the opportunity to gain a unique perspective on the Broken Arrow community, including its past, present, and future. LBA also helps participants gain knowledge of their individual leadership skills and talents, and how they can help meet the growing community's demands. Graduates of LBA will be in a position to influence the future of Broken Arrow through their community involvement.

Earning Criteria

Earners must attend a minimum of 11 monthly sessions and the kickoff session.

Earners must complete approximately 20 hours of volunteer work outside of sessions.

Earners must complete board experience with the city council, the board of education, and two non-profits.

Earners must engage with assigned mentor provided by LBA executive committee.

Earners must assist in the completion of the class service project.

SLO 1. Learn the history of the City of Broken Arrow, its current operations, future aspirations, and the importance of civic engagement.

SLO 2. Comprehend the connection between civic and non-profit organizations in the City of Broken Arrow.

SLO 3. Diversify one’s network of colleagues and professionals in various industries in the City of Broken Arrow.

SLO 4. Cultivate an appreciation for civic and board engagement.

SLO 5. Become familiar with the educational and civic offices and leaders of the City of Broken Arrow and in Oklahoma.
