Earning Criteria

• Earners must complete: ECED 5583 with a grade of B or better.
• SLO 1. Identify children’s characteristics and needs.
• SLO 2. Identify multiple interacting influences on children’s development and learning.
• SLO 3. Identify family and community relationships in children’s development and learning.
• SLO 4. Use developmentally appropriate assessment strategies in ways that promote positive outcomes for each child.
• SLO 5. Use a wide array of developmentally appropriate approaches, instructional strategies and tools that connect with children and families and positively influence each child’s development and learning.
• SLO 6. Conduct themselves as members of the early childhood profession.
• SLO 7. Use ethical guidelines and other professional standards related to early childhood practice.
• SLO 8. Implement strategies that foster dispositions leading to life-long learning.
