Refresh & Revive Training Series: Introduction to Canvas

Faculty and staff will attend a virtual hour-long training session. During the session, there will be activities based on Quality Matters (QM) standards with application developed in Canvas. The session focuses on customizing the Canvas course list, account notifications, and course settings. Attendees will also learn how to insert content and a syllabus as well as create modules with pages and headers. Training attendees will also need to complete the training survey in Qualtrics.

Earning Criteria

  • Navigate to areas in Canvas such as pages and links.
  • Create a course overview and instructor self-introduction.
  • Demonstrate how to add Canvas content.
  • Implement a modular structure with content in a course shell in Canvas.
  • Apply QM standards (Seventh Edition Rubric): 1.1, 1.8, 3.1, 4.1, 6.1, 8.1, 8.2, & 8.3.
  • Complete the training survey in Qualtrics.
