NYC Men Teach Mentors participated in monthly mentor sessions designed to enhance their goal-setting and tracking skills, both for personal development and in supporting their Men Teach Anchors. They showcased leadership capabilities by offering coaching and mentorship to novice teachers in the early phases of their careers. As an integral component of the program, they cultivated competencies in racial literacy, networking, stress management, and instructional techniques.

Earning Criteria

Mentors participate in monthly professional learning sessions and workshops with PAC Facilitators. They utilize both modeled and newly acquired skills to mentor and coach NYC Men Teach Anchors.

Mentors met with their Anchors on a weekly, or at least monthly, basis to address problem of practice, provide support with social-emotional learning (SEL) and stress management, and develop racial literacy skills to navigate systemic challenges.
