Earning Criteria

Complete a week-long program that develops skills and resources to initiate serious change in their organization's procurement practices. Areas of focus include: Leadership in an Era of Uncertainty, Forming Powerful Guiding Coalitions, Developing a Vision and Strategy, Communicating the Vision, Removing Obstacles, Creating Short-Term Wins, Consolidating Gains, and Anchoring Change in the Corporate Culture.

Throughout the week, earners work on a project that addresses a need previously identified and agreed upon by their organization. They develop the project plan through key stages and receive feedback from other participants. At the end of the week, earners pitch their project proposals to senior leaders, who provide candid feedback to help refine the project for execution. After the program, participants return to their organizations with the tools necessary to execute the project successfully.

Leadership Assessment: Participants complete a leadership assessment that provides insights into the practices of the highest performing procurement and supply chain leaders, allowing them to understand how those leaders achieve success and where they (the participants) fit in the spectrum of capabilities those leaders use.

Enterprise Assessment: Participants complete a benchmark analysis of their organization that compares its current supply maturity footprint with industry competitors using the Supply Chain Maturity Model Global 1000 database, developed by the Supply Chain Resource Cooperative at NC State University.
