Individuals are familiar with welding symbols, detail drawings and the properties of metals. They are able to safely make acceptable welds on plate and pipe using equipment and techniques for GMAW, GTAW and FCAW. They know how to make acceptable welds with SMAW equipment on carbon steel pipe and stainless steel plate and pipe. They can make acceptable welds on aluminum plate and pipe using GMAW and GTAW equipment and techniques. They understand how to safely perform soldering and brazing.
