…skills continued… • Install temporary grounding to create an EPZ • Prepare transmission structures for conductors • Operate pulling and tensioning machines • Install, terminate, and sag conductors • Splice conductors • Inspect and maintain insulators • Inspect/maintain transmission poles, structures, and guys • Inspect and maintain conductors and conductor hardware • Perform switching, tagging, and clearance procedures • Perform fault location on transmission lines • Prepare inspection reports
Completed training through an NCCER Accredited training organization. Successfully demonstrated to an NCCER-certified instructor and/or evaluator the performance task requirements for this level. Successfully completed the course modules and passed the knowledge-based examinations.
