NCCER Introduction to Oxyfuel Cutting and Arc-Welding (27407)
Issued by
NCCER
Individuals can identify and describe proper ventilation, PPE and components required for oxyfuel cutting and arc welding, electrical hazards, electrode selection, types of weld beads, plasma and air-carbon arc cutting, GMAW and STAW welding processes. They understand how to safely cut and weld containers, use oxyfuel cutting equipment, strike an arc, create a fillet weld, and restart and terminate a weld. They can use oxyfuel cutting and electric arc welder on mild steel.
