Individuals are aware of the NEC® requirements for conduit bends. They understand how to calculate the number of bends per run and can use equations to find bend distances. They are able to make acceptable conduit bends using mechanical, hydraulic and electric benders. They can bend stub-ups and make offsets and saddle bends in intermediate metal conduit (IMC), rigid metal conduit (RMC) and electrical metallic tubing (EMT). They know how to join, bend and install PVC conduit.
