Earners of the Women in Technology Mentoring Program credential have supported current women IT students through a mentoring program to develop confidence and help them recognise and plan personal and professional goals. They are skilled in mentoring, active listening and have the ability to assist others in identifying career goals.

Earning Criteria

Be a mentor in the mentoring program. This involves meeting with a mentee 1:1, discussing the mentee’s career aims and providing them with direct feedback and suggestions on career pathways.

Attend a commencement session with a professional coach. This requires attending a session to learn skills in mentoring such as active listening, relationship structure and establishing boundaries.

Attend a brainstorming session. This requires attending a mid program session with program managers to provide feedback and assist in the development of new initiatives for the program. This session provides mentors with an opportunity to practice problem solving skills and contribute to the design of the program.
