For this assessment, students collaborate with their group and apply the interdisciplinary skills and intercultural awareness they have learned through their in-country experience. It is designed to deepen their knowledge and awareness of a local sustainable development challenge. The student’s interdisciplinary team presentation must have the highest score of its in-country cohort. (40%)

This assessment requires students to apply their theoretical and practical knowledge, analytical skills, and experience from their immersion context, to a local sustainable development challenge, in a professional format. The assessment helps students to develop their interdisciplinary and intercultural knowledge in the interpretation of this development issue. The student’s submission statement mark must be above 80% (30%)

This assessment requires students to write a short reflection on their intercultural competence based on their upbringing, culture and personal experiences that have shaped their biases, beliefs, and behaviours. The reflection needs to be framed by the academic content of the unit. The student’s mark for their pre-departure intercultural reflection must be above 80% (30%)
