Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW)

Issued by Milwaukee Area Technical College

Program earners of this badge will complete GMAW - short circuit, GMAW - spray, FCAW - G (.045 - .062 diameter wire), and metalcore in multiple positions. Students will have the opportunity to take a horizontal 2G on 3/8" GMAW -spray practice test, a 3G 1" FCAW practice test, a Metalcore 1G 1" practice test. These are tests that are utilized by employers in manufacturing and can help you to gain employment.

Completion of WELD-315-150-GMAW Practices, a 5-credit college-level course.
Completion of WELD-352-150-GMAW Processes, a 1-credit college-level course.
All badge costs are paid via tuition associated with courses within the badge. Badges are issued to those who complete these courses with a letter grade of C or better.
