Earning Criteria

Document IT management experience in a healthcare setting: healthcare information and management systems analysis, design, selection, implementation, support, and maintenance; testing and evaluation; privacy and security; and/or information systems; and/or clinical informatics; and/or management engineering.

Pass a comprehensive, standardized exam. The CPDHTS exam is a two-hour exam composed of 100 multiple-choice questions.

Adhere to a Code of Conduct and recertify every two (2) years through at least 30 hours of continuing professional development, at least 2 hours of which must be in ethics or conflicts of interest topics.
