The Master Trainer in Mentoring Practices is an immersive and comprehensive training program designed for individuals who are passionate about mentoring, training/coaching, and want to elevate their skills to an advanced level. This program equips participants with the knowledge, tools, and strategies to become expert trainers in mentoring and the components of the EEPM, enabling them to train and empower others in effective mentoring. This is an invite only training program by MENTOR National.

Earning Criteria

The program is designed for experienced mentoring training professionals and individuals responsible for providing technical assistance initiatives within the MENTOR National network. It is suitable for those who have a both a foundational and expert understanding of mentoring and are looking to advance their skills and become expert trainers in mentoring practices (EEPM). Trainers have to have been training in the EEPM for at least three years.

Trainers/Facilitators will complete an application demonstrating expertise and commitment to delivering 'The Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring (EEPM) and applicants should have some professional training experience, familiarity with the EEPM, and readiness to expand their EEPM training offerings locally, regionally, and/or nationally. Applicants need a referral from their local Mentoring Affiliate.

At the Train-the-Trainer, participants will deliver a presentation to the training class and master trainer lead director on one of the 6 Elements of Effective Practice for Mentoring and receive constructive feedback on their training skills. Each will also lead community-building activities during the program. There will also be site visits for each trainer by the master trainer director.
