This badge earner took an ACTFL writing proficiency exam and was rated at the Novice High Level according to the ACTFL Proficiency Guidelines. Writers at this level can meet limited basic practical writing needs using lists, short messages, postcards, and simple notes. Novice High writers are able to recombine learned vocabulary and structures to create simple sentences on very familiar topics.
