Earning Criteria

• Certification Board - SRE's that are invited to serve on the certification board as a reviewer and have invested substantial time reviewing, validating claims, interviewing applicants and providing recommendations to approve or decline applications for certification are eligible for the SRE Profession Champion badge.
• Intellectual Capital - From time-to-time the Site Reliability Profession or the Site Reliability Engineering Center of Excellence will announce a call for participation to practicing SRE's to contribute to the creation or update of general purpose collateral, assessments or tools to be used in the course of executing SRE engagements. Volunteers that substantially contribute to these efforts may be eligible for the SRE Profession Champion badges.
• Giveback - Practicing SRE's that frequently volunteer for speaking engagements, the harvesting of success stories, have demonstrated and verifiable external eminence that result greater adoption of SRE may be eligible for the SRE Profession Champion.
