The course objective is to learn to look at IT risk management as a way to seize opportunities, minimize threats and achieve optimum results. Participants work through the proactive approach to threat and opportunity based on a clear understanding of the powerful nature of both qualitative and quantitative approaches to risk management.

The methods of instruction include audiovisual materials, practical exercises, lecture, discussion, and classroom exercises. The general course topics include foundations of risk, identifying risk analysis fundamentals, analyzing and prioritizing risks, planning responses to risk, risk execution, and risk evaluation.
