This badge is issued in recognition of the earner's engagement in research activities under the mentorship of a Science Department faculty for at least a year. Earners have developed deeper understanding of intellectual and practical work of scientific research parallel to conceptual knowledge in their fields and have gained advanced technical skills through their research projects. Earners have shown initiative and responsibility in their function as undergraduate researchers in their labs.
Earning Criteria

This badge acknowledges that earners have participated in mentored research activities above and beyond the requirements of for-credit research internship course (i.e. FOS 402).

This badge acknowledges that earners have shown commitment to their research project by performing the lab work required and have participated in lab activities like lab meetings and journal clubs.
