Punctuality
All musicians, but especially young artists, need to show strength of character in addition to musical abilities. Punctuality is one of the most important qualities in an aspiring musician because being on time shows responsibility, organization, & time management. In addition, it demonstrates respect for others, as it shows that you value everyone’s time. Students who show up early or on time to every event for the entire academic year are awarded the Punctuality Skill Badge.

The Young Artist Program, for ages 14-17 by audition, prepares students for effective appearances on stage and a musical career through intensive musical experiences with faculty, theory/solfège, music history, masterclasses, and concerts. In the summer, they can attend IIMF in Europe, performing live and possibly meeting their IISM professors.
