Water Safety: Management - Role of the Responsible Person is an ILM Recognised programme of learning, created and delivered by The Water Hygiene Centre for members of the WSG especially for the Responsible Person (Water), Deputy Responsible Person (Water) / Authorised Person (Water), Infection Control, Microbiologist and Facilities Leads. The programme aims to develop knowledge and skills for delegates with an understanding of water safety risks which covers ACoP L8 and HTM04-01 guidance.

Provide delegates with a thorough understanding of ‘water safety’ and the risks posed.

Provide delegates with a broad understanding of applicable regulations, guidance documents and standards.

Enable delegates to review / establish their own water safety plans;

Identify key roles [persons] involved with the management of water safety;

Provide delegates with various exercises, mini audits and resources to aid in their understanding and potential degree of compliance.
