The 'TVET Lead Trainer Libya Programme' is an ILM Recognised programme of learning, created and delivered by the British Council and Ministry of TVE, financed by the European Union, for Trainers/Teachers in Technical and Vocational Education and Training in Libya. The programme aims to develop knowledge and skills by delivering three 40 hour modules on competence based learning and assessment enhanced by work-based assignments to support and consolidate the learning.

Earning Criteria

Implement TVET Training Programmes: • Plan and schedule TVET CBT training sessions • Request/develop resources for CBT training • Prepare training area • Conduct theoretical and practical training including background to CBT, adult learning, presentation skills, facilitation skills

Assess and Quality Assure TVET Training Programmes: • Develop assessment tools including formative and summative assessment • Assess learner competence including knowledge assessment, institutional practice and workplace practice • Moderate training • Comply with certification requirements • Maintain and secure files and records (MIS or other QMS) • Evaluate training on different levels: direct feedback, behavioural changes, internal investment, etc.

Supervise Departmental activities including supporting the development, implement and continuous monitoring of departmental workplan and the Institutions’ Safety, Health and Environment Quality (SHEQ) system.

Developing CBT TVET Interventions: • Conduct a training needs analysis and skills gap analysis • Developing an occupational profile based on the needs of the world of work using the DACUM methodology • Developing an occupational standard based on an occupational profile • Developing curriculum module descriptors • Developing learning materials
