It supports the embedding of the employer’s business vision and values and includes modern management, strengths-based coaching and communication skills. This is complemented by the latest developments in behavioural change, service excellence and emotional intelligence in the workplace.

Earning Criteria

The individual has participated in a two-year programme designed for line managers of the future. They have completed four modules each consisting of group workshops and extensive embedding activities to facilitate the application of learning in role. They have been required to keep a continuous workplace journal and hold regular discussions with tutors and peers. The individual has successfully gained a blend of traditional and cutting-edge Leadership, Management and Behavioural Change skills.

The individual has successfully undergone independent external assessment for each of the four programme modules: Leading Yourself, Leading your Team, Leading your Business and Leading the Future. Assessment consisted of completing and meeting benchmark for ten embedding activities per module, supported by professional discussion, line manager and peer review, and observation of practice. Successful completion of all four modules within an agreed timescale was mandatory for full certification.

The individual has assembled a record of Leadership, Management & Behavioural Change performance evidence including: journal entries, demonstration of relevant subject knowledge and records of workplace performance in specific activities and skills. Evidence is peer and manager reviewed prior to formal assessment. The portfolio is a comprehensive record of the individual’s progress in the assimilation of a substantial set of Leadership and Management skills and behaviours.

The individual has demonstrated enhanced levels of emotional intelligence and an ability to lead behavioural change. Their appreciation of the way the mind works and the science behind this, has been tested and assessed to ensure they can apply the related learning to the way people think and behaviour in the workplace. The individual has demonstrated that they are able to lead in an open, ethical, inclusive and customer-centric way, where physical and mental well-being are key considerations.
