The earners are able to give a 45 minute quantum talk with insight into our quantum technology and offerings. They understand the theory behind quantum computing and can describe the advancements of both our hardware and software stack. They are able to answer in-depth questions on quantum theory, IBM Quantum hardware/software, and discuss overview of quantum use cases. The earner is available to present to clients, associations, meetups and internal groups.

Earning Criteria

Must be a full-time employee of IBM

Has a Masters/PhD in Math, Physics, Engineering, or related area, or Sales experience with basic quantum skills

Successful interview with an IBM Quantum regional lead. IBM Quantum Ambassador candidates will be pre-selected based on the needs of the business for each region

Successfully completed the IBM Quantum Ambassador training course and final presentation review

Demonstrated C-suite presentation capabilities

Demonstrate ability to answer in depth questions on quantum computing, IBMs quantum strategy and technology, and IBM Quantum’s leadership capabilities

Demonstrate ability to present and demo Qiskit functionalities such as installing and running a circuit on a quantum computer, and familiarity of the many IBM Quantum learning resources

In order to re-certify each year as an Associate ambassador, you must have presented a minimum of 8 engagements per year, with at least 1 presentation per Quarter and must be entered into the AirTable no later than the quarter in which the presentation was delivered, no exceptions. This is to ensure that the ambassadors are up to speed on the latest features, narratives, strategies, and is capable to present and answer client questions effectively.
