Earning Criteria

A minimum of four, five or seven years of professional-level HR work experience dependent on educational background
Submission and approval of application
Pass a high-stakes assessment
Maintain the credential via continuing professional development credits or passing of the high-stakes assessment again

NCCA Accreditation

The NCCA’s Standards for the Accreditation of Certification Programs were the first standards developed by the credentialing industry for professional certification programs. The NCCA Standards were developed to help ensure the health, welfare, and safety of the public and were most recently revised in 2021.
