This 10-hour course aims at preparing students for Task 2 (Argumentative Writing) of Academic Writing Module of IELTS. Students will be given practice in presenting their point of view, arguing for or against a given statement, presenting a solution to a problem, justifying an opinion, comparing and contrasting evidence and opinions, evaluating ideas, evidence or arguments. Students will become familiar with the types of tasks tested and grading criteria used by the examiner.
