Earning Criteria

• The badge holder has gained an understanding of their workplace and relevant industry through self-paced online learning and connected this knowledge to a broader global context, such as the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. They took an active role in challenges and tasks designed for the virtual work experience and took frequent opportunities to reflect on their progress and seek feedback.
• The badge holder has engaged in and successfully completed a variety of professional tasks, such as applying to participate in the virtual work experience by submitting a video cover letter outlining their suitability for the role and explaining why they were interested in this experience.
• The badge holder has engaged with the virtual work experience facilitator, industry mentor, and other participants through the community feed and video communication platforms.
• The badge holder has performed the items on their weekly agenda within predetermined deadlines and in a way that demonstrated an overall understanding of the industry background and project brief. This included real-world professional tasks such as: a) applying practical knowledge of track circuit maintenance and repair b) electrical safety c) reading electrical diagrams d) pitching a project to industry stakeholders
