Participants earning this badge have examined the three grand organizers for arithmetic instruction (Guiding Principles for Classroom Teaching, Domains of Arithmetic Learning and Dimension of Mathematizing), studied a research-based learning trajectory for children's development of fractions knowledge, applied research-based assessment tools to analyze student thinking and used assessment to inform instruction.

Complete a minimum of 34 hours of Add+VantageMR® (AVMR) Fractions course, a virtual and online learning opportunity to include online discussion boards.

Complete course readings in Developing Fractions Knowledge, by Amy Hackenberg, Anderson Norton, & Robert Wright, the course text and provides a detailed and comprehensive guide to classroom and intervention teaching of fractions.

Proficiency will be demonstrated through the assessment and evaluation of student fractional knowledge.
