Earners of the Humanities Research Scholar badge will understand the significance and relevance of humanities research, the importance of critical thinking to the humanities, and the range of research methodologies employed in the humanities. Earners are undergraduate scholars who are identified through an application and selection process

Earners participate in a 4 session-workshop (1-1.5 hours each). During the workshops, earners learn first hand from scholars what humanities research is and why it matters; how to conceptualize a project; which research methodologies are used in the humanities; the importance of analytical thinking and persuasive writing; and about the applicability of these skills to a range of professions.
