The Criminal Justice Faculty, In Collaboration with the Criminal Justice Program Advisory Board, have worked to define this digital certificate to recognize an individual’s competency in Victim Studies: Causes and relationship of crime to various typologies of victims and victimization; History and progression of justice policy relating to rights of victims; Methods developed to assist victims within agencies of the criminal justice system; and, Legal and ethical challenges professionals face.

Criteria for Badge Completion: A Learner Badge is awarded a minimum of “C” earned average in each required course - PSY 101 Introduction to Psychology (3 Credits); SOC 101 Introduction to Sociology (3 Credits); and, SOC 214 Victimology (3 Credits)
