The earner of this certification has completed training to use the CNC (Computer Numerical Control) milling machines at AMRoC Fab Lab. Certification demonstrates proficiency in using the CNC machines, from safety procedures to design and file use, proper use and maintenance. This credential grants access to and use of the CNC Machines at AMRoC Fab Lab.

Earning Criteria

Earner will complete at least one hour of CNC fundamentals training, including an overview of shop safety, and processes and procedures for using the CNC machines. Earner will demonstrate understanding of CNC machine use through an assessment and the production of at least one machined part.

In addition to hands on training and parts production, there is also an online assessment requiring at least an 80% passing rate.
