Fundamentals of Adapted Swim Instruction

Developed within the Occupational Therapy and Recreational Therapy department, this badge recognizes fundamental knowledge of assessment, planning, and implementation of adapted learn-to-swim instruction through experiential application with community partners. Earners of this badge can understand adapted instructional strategies, equipment, accommodations, and modifications. Earners are equipped with valuable tools to begin careers as adapted learn-to-swim professionals.
