The course objective is to instruct why special test instruments are needed and how to select, understand, and safely operate them. Knowledge of Voice-Data-Video (VDV), power quality, high voltage and insulation, instrumentation and process control, and special maintenance test instruments prepares the learner to work on all kinds of electrical installations. The course concludes by presenting a systematic approach to troubleshooting necessary for effective test instrument use.
