Sound Reinforcement, Level I Advanced Course

The course prepares students for completion of Sound Reinforcement, Level I. Its purpose is to give the student the understanding necessary to design and operate moderate-scale reinforcement systems. Students will learn the fundamental characteristics of this signal and how it relates to frequency, how sound is measured using dynamic range, and the impact that the environment has on sound systems. The student will also explore the data structure of MIDI and sound synchronization.

Earning Criteria

The methods of assessment include quizzes, examinations, presentations, performance rubrics (checklists), and classroom participation with a minimum passing score of 75 percent.
