Lighting Essentials, Level I and II (5/1/21-9/30/25)

The course objective is to give an overview of lamp types, the quantity and quality of light sources and some basics on lighting control. The objective of Level II is understanding lighting retrofit and provide in-depth coverage of fluorescent lighting, High Intensity Discharge (HID) lighting, and LED lighting systems.

The methods of assessment include presentations, quizzes, performance rubrics/checklists, classroom participation and more with a minimum passing score of 75%.
