After learning about and discussing the history and importance of privacy, participants considered a real-world process in their institutional roles. Participants then documented the data life cycle for personal information involved in the process. They then considered appropriate privacy controls and safeguards for the stated process and tied that process to their institution’s mission and values. Finally, participants created a basic outline of a privacy notice for their chosen process.
