Science+C Facilitators provide professional development and other support to Science+C teachers throughout the year. They are integral to the success of the program: co-developing, delivering, and revising PD and curriculum materials based on input from the teachers, and fostering a sense of community among the teachers and fellow facilitators. Their responsibilities are outlined below.

Earning Criteria

Co-design, lead, and refine professional development (PD) for a week-long Science+C Summer Institute and via online PD sessions through the school year.

Take leadership roles in assembling, communicating with, and mentoring the Science+C teachers who are in their cohorts. Also advise on the Science+C unit materials and direction of the project.

Have a background in teaching Biology, Chemistry, and/or Physics, and have also taught the Science+C units.

Actively participate in activities to strengthen and promote Science+C, including in research recruitment and general direction of the program.
