Complete RECR 280 Outdoor/Environmental Education and RECR 281 Outdoor Recreation & Park Management

Earn a passing grade of at least a B in RECR 280 Outdoor/Environmental Education and RECR 281 Outdoor Recreation & Park Management

Investigate a local park. Utilizing site visits and staff interviews, determine the user groups, amenities, priorities, and challenges of managing the park. Create a proposal for a potential amenity or activity at the park, outlining the need for the amenity/activity, target audience, estimated budget, and funding and local partnership opportunities.

Completion of designing an outdoor education lesson plan and creating a video on the implementation of their lesson. The lesson derived purposes such as the learning of a skill or the improvement of skill and an accompanying assessment to identify the aptitude of the participants and how they may progress in their skill as a product of the lesson.
