EVM 263: Principles of Schedule Management (EVM 263)

The course objective is to develop a working knowledge of schedule development, maintenance and analysis processes as well as an understanding of DoD policy and the Electronic Industries Alliance (EIA) 748 Earned Value Management System (EVMS) Standards. The general course topics include network schedules and related policies; schedule development, maintenance, and analysis; the Precedence Diagram Method of scheduling; schedule risk analysis; and Microsoft Project.

Earning Criteria

The methods of instruction include audio visual materials, case studies, practical exercises, learner presentations, lecture, discussion, and classroom exercise.
The methods of assessment include quizzes, presentations, examinations, case studies, and performance rubrics (checklists) with a minimum passing score of 80 percent.
