ACQ 265: Mission-Focused Services Acquisition (ACQ 265)

The course objective is to improve tradecraft in the acquisition of services. It uses a multifunctional approach to provide acquisition team members with tools and techniques to analyze and apply performance-based principles when developing requirement documents, and effective business strategies for contractor-provided services. The course uses the seven-step Service Acquisition process, a team-oriented approach, and multiple interactive, hands-on, learning sessions to apply the principles.

The methods of instruction include audiovisual materials, case studies, practical exercises, learner presentations, lecture, discussion, classroom exercise, and computer-based training.

The methods of assessment include case studies and performance rubrics (checklists) with a minimum passing score of 80 percent.
