The earner of the Tractor Safety microcredential is competent in operating a tractor with an attached implement on Nova Scotia roads. The earner can conduct pre-operation checks, attach front and rear-mounted implements, and safely operate a tractor and implement with a combined weight of 14,000 kg or less.

Earning Criteria

Score grade of at least 70% on final written assessment.

Earners of this microcredential have scored 70% or higher on two practical driving assessments. They have demonstrated their ability to safely attach an implement, start tractor, drive forward, drive a full course route, stop on a hill, back up with implement attached, park, unhitch and stop tractor.
