Earners will understand the nature of using mathematics to solve many types of problems. They will be introduced to descriptive statistics for grouped and ungrouped data, and correlation and linear regression analysis. They will learn how to calculate the mean and standard deviation, determine the correlation between sets of data, construct scatterplots and lines of best fit, and calculate correlation coefficient and regression equation for data sets.
