The Pioneer Badge earner built upon the Introductory Badge through a summer project. Earners identified a current issue or technology that can be addressed or improved through quantum innovations. They researched and created a poster presentation showcased at the Quantum World Congress. And/or participated in a Global Industry Challenge White-Paper laying out a proposed solution and industry impact of Quantum Computing to a challenge set by either Wells Fargo or the World Bank Group.

Earning Criteria

The earner of this badge completed a virtual course and earned the 'Discovery for Students’ credential. Building on that knowledge, the earner completed either a poster presentation project identifying a current issue that can be addressed or improved through quantum. Or tackled a Global Industry Challenge set by the World Bank Group or Wells Fargo. Earners researched the topics, either creating a poster presented at QWC or a 3-page White Paper reviewed by industry experts in a Workshop.
