LEAP Forward (Leadership Education in Action Program)

LEAP Forward is a unique program unlike any of the other LEAP programs COC has offered in the past. This year-long experience focuses on identifying participant’s leadership strengths and developing the skills they need to master to fulfill their vision and be prepared to move into a vice president, president, or Chancellor position.

Earning Criteria

As part of the LEAP Forward program, participants: • Engage in Executive Coaching/Mentoring with their Executive Cabinet level mentor; • Identify their leadership strengths and capabilities using the Social Style & Versatility Assessment; • Participate in planned visits with community organizations or attend community events and meet with leaders at the City of Santa Clarita to discuss possible partnerships and engage in networking; • Meet with community college CEOs.
