Earning Criteria

• This person has successfully demonstrated all of the knowledge and practical competencies required to achieve the Skills Proficiency Certificate in Basic Electronic Engineering
• They can understand safe working practices and procedures to ensure the safety of themselves and other personnel, the prevention of hazards, basic tool skills, basic assembly and soldering techniquese the use of measuring instruments.
• They can maintain safe working conditions, adopt safe procedures for themselves and others, construct simple electronic circuits using transistors, integrated circuits and other components, perform tests on electronic circuits and record results, identify faults on electronic circuits using visual inspection and simple tests.
