The apprentice will be able to: Use a range of products and techniques including sectioning and winding, taking into account critical influencing factors.

The apprentice will know and understand: The effects of perms and neutralisers on the hair structure, products and equipment, and contra-indications to perming hair and tests required throughout the perming and neutralising processes.
Standards
The Level 2 Diploma in Professional Hairdressing and Level 2 Diploma in Professional Barbering have been designed by employers for learners wishing to work either as a hairdresser or barber.
