Through a closed book assessment, the learner showed an understanding of the construction, care, handling and use of flexible endoscopes used in medical practice, the process of their decontamination and storage, the role of washer disinfectors in endoscope reprocessing, the periodic testing of flexible endoscope washer disinfectors, test reports and traceability systems for endoscope processing.
