Through a closed book assessment, the learner showed an understanding of medical electrical safety, cardiovascular-related equipment in a medical environment, the physiology and hazards associated with cardiovascular equipment, and the principle of operation of the various cardiovascular equipment.

Through several practical assessments throughout the course, the learner showed an understanding of how to perform maintenance, safety testing, and performance testing on ECGs, defibrillators, and patient monitoring equipment.
