Earning Criteria

This person is able to: understand the factors that affect victims, witnesses and vulnerable people and how this may impact on their need for support, communicate effectively with victims, witnesses and vulnerable people, provide initial support to victims, witnesses and vulnerable people, assess the needs and wishes of victims, witnesses and the vulnerable for further support

This person is able to: understand legal and organisational requirements related to handling information and intelligence that can support law enforcement, handle information and intelligence that can support law enforcement

This person is able to: understand legal and organisational requirements related to responding to incidents, analyse information to plan responses to incidents, provide an initial response to incidents in line with legal and organisational requirements

This person is able to: understand the principles of applying a preventative, evidence-based community policing approach, develop a preventative policing approach to local concerns and issues, develop plans to support the preventative measure, implement and monitor the preventative measure, review the preventative policing approach adopted, conduct any further action as determined by review findings
