This individual has achieved unit 301 Engineering Health and Safety. They are able to: Understand compliance with statutory health and safety regulations and organisational requirements, understand compliance with statutory environmental regulations and organisational requirements, know how to implement accident and emergency procedures, and Understand safe working practices and procedures.

This individual has achieved unit 302 Engineering principles. They are able to: Know how to interpret engineering information, know how to differentiate between common engineering materials, know how to perform engineering calculations and understand quality control in engineering.

This individual has achieved unit 353 Principles of Welding. They are able to: Understand the fundamentals of welding, know how to apply welding symbols to joint preparations, understand the affects of distortion and residual stresses due to welding, understand the metallurgical effects of welding and know how to determine the integrity of welded joints.
